What We Do

Comprehensive Care
for Every Child

From early intervention to vocational training — our programs are designed around each child's unique needs, capability, and potential.

Programs & Services

Six Pillars of Care

Every program is delivered by trained professionals, tailored to the individual, and backed by 25 years of experience.

📚

Special Education (SHIKSHA)

Individualised academic programmes across mild, moderate, and severe ability levels — delivered by certified special educators using evidence-based methods alongside conventional education techniques. Each child's learning plan is reviewed regularly and adjusted to their pace.

Core Program
🗣️

Speech & Language Therapy

Structured speech-language interventions to improve communication, articulation, and social interaction skills across all ability levels. Regular assessment and personalised therapy plans for each child, enabling them to express themselves and connect with the world.

Therapy
🤸

Physiotherapy & OT (SANJEEVINI)

Occupational and physiotherapy sessions designed to improve motor skills, build physical independence, and enhance overall well-being — especially for multiply-handicapped children who need daily support. Sessions are supervised by trained therapists and adapted for each individual.

Rehabilitation
🏡

Residential Care (ASHRAYA)

Safe, nurturing residential accommodation providing round-the-clock care, daily nutritious mid-day meals, separate facilities for boys and girls, and a warm home-like environment for children who need it most. The residential wing operates year-round, 365 days a year.

Vocational Training

Pre-vocational and skill-development programmes that nurture economic independence — crafts, arts, and practical life skills for older students preparing to integrate into the wider community. The aim is to help each child discover their strengths and build a dignified livelihood.

Skill Building

Early Intervention Programme

A home-based service providing early diagnosis, family guidance, and structured intervention for newly identified children — helping families understand and support their child's needs from the earliest stage. Early support makes the most lasting difference in a child's development.

Early Support

Community & Parent Awareness

The trust focuses on family and community involvement in the training programme for mentally challenged children. We believe that a child's progress depends as much on their home environment as on their time at the centre.

Biannual two-day parent training sessions are conducted to build understanding between families, reduce stigma, and create consistent support at home.

How We Reach Out

Distribution of pamphlets and awareness materials in shopping complexes and companies
Community presentations to educate the public about mental disability and rehabilitation
Two-day parent training sessions conducted twice every year
Encouraging participation of family members and relatives in the child's training
Door-to-door surveys in surrounding areas to identify and enrol children in need
